Heavy Duty Service
Our heavy duty service department is responsible for fixing vehicles that land between Classes 6 and 8, ranging from 19,500 to over 33,000 pounds. We’ve been doing such for over 70 years. Sure, times have changed quite a bit since then, but at the end of the day, we do the heavy lifting so you don’t have to.

We originally started as a heavy duty spring shop way back in 1955. Since then, we have added additional services that round out maintenance and repair needed on heavy trucks. Steering components? We do that. Brake work? We do that, too. And it’s not just leaf springs anymore — most of today’s more complex suspension systems are fully repaired or replaced at Thruway.

We started doing heavy truck alignments way back in the 1980s, and our customers know that there is only one place in town to trust. If you are making the investment in new rubber for your truck or trailer, let us help you protect your money and get the most out of those new tires. Not to mention, a properly aligned vehicle reduces wear and tear on other critical steering and suspension, as well as minimizing driver fatigue in long haul scenarios.
